And the Results Are... Still Inconclusive

Same result this morning: a shadow that turns into a very thin blue line after the point when you're not supposed to read it anymore.

I am going to assume this means nothing.

Now I know the dangers of testing early.

  1. The same thing happened to me this cycle! I took two internet cheapies at 10 and 11 DPO, and they both were stark white negative, but I could see a little possible line once they dried out. Now I know it was an evaporation line, but it freaked me out when I looked at the tests again after work today.

  6. Many, many people get negatives before they get positives. In fact, fertility friend has a whole page about positives and negatives (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/When-can-I-expect-a-positive-HPT-if-I-am-pregnant.html). They studied lots of charts and said that the average dpo for a positive is 13.6. Now, some of that may be down to the fact that certain women hold off on testing, but I have to believe that a lot has to do with the fact that most women who are pregnant will not get a positive at CD11 (no matter what those damned boxes say). I'm still hopeful for you.

  7. I haven't commented yet because my experience is not positive, but... I tested early and got a line, and then I tested at the normal time and it was definitely -.... I think my line was still my trigger.

But of course, I'm praying your story ends differently!!!

  8. I used the equate brand test just like that recently and saw exactly what you are describing. a shadow where the line would be. I even took the test apart. In the past I have always used the equate + - pink dye one and never had a problem. I don't recommend the blue dye equate.

  9. I'm just giving you some hope....but I had the same thing starting at 10dp5dt and by 12dp5dt the line started getting darker. Hang in there! I may also suggest getting a different kind of test.
